What is a 'GB' (Games Back) in MLB standings?+
Games Back (GB) measures how far behind a team is from the division leader. It's calculated as ((Leader's Wins − Team's Wins) + (Team's Losses − Leader's Losses)) ÷ 2. A team with '0 GB' is tied for first; '—' is shown for the leader.
When does the 2026 MLB regular season end?+

MLB standings are updated multiple times per day — immediately after every game completes. Win-loss records, run differentials, home/away splits, last-10 records, and streaks all reflect the most recent completed games.
Does MLB have tiebreakers for division and Wild Card?+
Yes. MLB uses head-to-head record first, then division record, then intra-league record, then the last-half-season record. Since 2022, there are no single-game tiebreakers — all ties are broken mathematically by these criteria.
What is DIFF in MLB standings?+
DIFF (run differential) is Runs Scored minus Runs Allowed. A +100 DIFF means a team has scored 100 more runs than opponents — a strong indicator of underlying quality. DIFF is also used in Pythagorean win projections.
