About the Sweet 16
The Sweet 16 is when March Madness reaches its most intense. Only 16 teams remain — all survivors of two rounds of competition. Games move from first-round sites to four regional venues: Houston (South), San Jose (West), Chicago (Midwest), and Washington D.C. (East). Each regional hosts two games per day. The Sweet 16 features 2-day game sessions followed by Elite Eight matchups at the same sites.
